REPIC is a member of the European WEEE Forum, a knowledge and data sharing organisation formed by the other producer led national European WEEE compliance schemes.

Trust
Our objective is “Maximum compliance at lowest achievable cost consistent with excellent environmental performance”.

• Since formation, REPIC has constructively engaged with producers, government, local authorities, retailers, the re-use sector, other potential compliance schemes, waste transport and treatment sectors to offer solutions for a low cost equitable implementation of the WEEE Directive in the UK.

• REPIC is not for profit but entirely cost focussed. We embrace the concept of competition as a way of minimising costs and maximising efficiencies.

• Through its participative membership structure, REPIC can provide members of the WEEE compliance scheme,

• Low Cost Compliance – we only charge for the costs of WEEE returned, not EEE sold.

• Equality – all members in the same EEE category are treated equally, irrespective of company size.

• Expertise - knowledge sharing through sector committees, focus groups, member meetings, seminars and workshops, membership of the European WEEE Forum, trade associations links.

• Comfort - from our open book and independently audited charging mechanism.

• Confidence – as a not for profit scheme operating in a competitive environment our collective purchasing power means that we should always provide the lowest true cost.

• Security – REPIC’s bespoke WEEE IT system ensures cradle to grave tracking of WEEE collections and provides an auditable evidence trail for your compliance.

• Assurance – REPIC has the depth of knowledge through its extensive involvement in WEEE over many years and through its interaction with all stakeholder groups, both in the UK and the rest of the EC.

• Know-How - REPIC staff have been dedicated to WEEE for the last three years and have developed the infrastructure that is required to operate an effective efficient compliance scheme. Our close links with operational schemes throughout Europe, that have operated in some cases for fifteen years has enabled us to draw on best practice.

• Unified Voice – a consensus voice of our members on all stakeholder groups on WEEE related issues.

• Flexibility - dedicated to WEEE, without the need to utilise existing capital assets, we have the flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions in WEEE.

• Innovation - we have worked with our members to provide pre-WEEE solutions in their supply chains and seek high added value uses for secondary raw material and will continue to deliver added value activities to our members.

• Ethical – we only approve service providers who can demonstrate that they can meet the required standards of operational and environmental performance.

All of the above can be summed up simply as trust – that we will always work in our members best interests.
